Why are men attracted to older women
The age difference in the relationship. More men date and marry older women than we think. Some of them believe that the intelligence of these women has increased their level of self-confidence and self-esteem, others have acknowledged that such women have more experience in the face of life, more emotional stability, a stronger ability to stand firmly in the face of everyday life, as well as their ability to give sincere advice, and drew the attention of their partners to different points of view.
One of the men interviewed is Fred, who followed his suffering during his time with a young girl trying to have meaningful conversations instead of dancing to the sounds of loud songs in nightclubs. In 1984, Gloria Cowan at the University of California conducted a study published in The Journal of Sex Roles, in which she examined how age-different relationships are perceived, whether in favor of men or women. Gloria hired male and female participants, adolescents and adults, and surveyed the potential consequences of successful age-difference relationships. The results showed that participants of both sexes felt that the wider the age difference of 18 in favor of women, the less likely the relationship would be successful.
The opinions of the participants in the experiment were also found to have been influenced by two main factors: the gender of the older party and the age difference, as the participants' opinions of the success of the relationship, changed. Surprisingly, the views of male volunteers did not change when they assessed relationships with a moderate age difference (7 years), whether it was for women or men, unlike female volunteers who showed double standards when they judged the same type of relationship!
